Booking and Cancellation Policies

As your instructor and guide, my priority is to offer you a one-on-one or very small group diving experience with the utmost dedication and safety. To ensure the quality and exclusivity of your attention, my schedule and logistics are reserved specifically for you. These policies reflect the need to secure my availability and maintain the high standard of instruction you deserve.

Booking and Payment Details

To confirm any course or diving experience with me (including cenotes, Cozumel, Turtle Bay, and SDI/TDI specialties), I require a fixed, non-refundable reservation fee of MXN $800.

This fixed reservation fee secures your spot exclusively on my schedule and allows me to begin coordinating the necessary logistics specifically for your experience.

The remaining balance of the total service cost must be paid in full on the day we begin your experience or course.

Cancellation and Refund Policy (No-Refund Policy)

I assure you that my time is dedicated to providing you with the best instruction, which is why it is important to be firm with this policy.

Refunds are not offered for deposits or payments made, under any circumstances.

Once payment has been processed, I confirm my availability and commit resources that are non-recoverable.

Rescheduling Policy (Limited Flexibility)

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. I am willing to be flexible, provided I am notified in a timely manner.

✅ What I CAN do (Subject to Availability):

If you notify me of your need to change at least 7 days in advance of your original booking date, I will do my best to reschedule your experience in my agenda.

Your fixed reservation fee will be applied to the new date, provided the experience takes place within 4 months of the original booking.

Important Note on Rescheduling: While I strive to honor the rebooked date, I reserve the right to propose an alternative date within the 4-month period should a change be necessary due to external factors or operational requirements of my schedule. I will always communicate this with the maximum possible notice.

❌ What Results in the Loss of Your Payment:

If you notify me less than 7 days in advance of the reserved date, or if you are simply a no-show, the date and the total payment made (including the fixed reservation fee and any other payments) will be forfeited in full.

This is because I will have already committed operating costs and reserved my entire day and resources exclusively for you, making it impossible to book another student on such short notice.

Diving Insurance and Certifications

When you book with Diving Universe, you are investing in a premium, personalized diving education. Here is what I include to ensure your experience is smooth and focused on quality:

✅ Included Services:

My Dedicated Instruction: Personalized, one-on-one attention (or very small group focus) from me, your certified SDI/TDI instructor, ensuring maximum safety and learning effectiveness.

Certification Fees: For all my courses, I include the official SDI or TDI certification fees (the agency fees required for your final certification card).

Local Transportation (Tulum Area): I can provide local transportation to and from the designated dive sites. This service is included by prior agreement and applies to transfers within or starting from the Tulum area. I will personally coordinate the logistics with you.

Personalized Planning: All necessary planning and coordination, ensuring the logistics of your unique dive experience are handled flawlessly.

❌ Optional/Non-Included Services (unless clearly specified):

Diving Insurance: Please note that personal diving insurance is not included in the service fee. I highly recommend that you obtain your own dedicated insurance before the activity, as securing adequate coverage is your personal responsibility.

Meals or Accommodation: Meals and accommodation are not included. While I may occasionally offer suggestions or assistance based on my availability.

It took me a while to find the right dive centre, as we were coming all the way from Australia to dive the cenotes and only had a few days. Allan absolutely blew me away with his patience, answering all my questions over several weeks and even helping us plan our trip so we could get the best visibility and light rays at each location. He went above and beyond our expectations. It was important for us to find the right fit, as we were spending most of our trip diving with the same person. Allan recommended amazing local places to eat, shared so much about the nature and cenotes, and even brought us the most delicious tacos on our first day. As a local, he really knows his stuff. We felt completely safe with him the entire time. I can’t recommend Allan highly enough, and I’ll definitely be recommending him to all my friends. I’ve never been diving in a cenote before and there are a few operators providing dives to go there. When I tell you Alan provided the BEST experience, from helping with the theory to my nitrox, giving me recommendations for dinner to bringing the best mangos I’ve had in Mexico as a snack. The diving was incredible, I’ve never dived in freshwater so when we were getting water up Alan knew my weighting would be off and adjust this with a tester dive.
